Hello Rob,Thanks for the thoughtful posts. Let me say first and foremost that today we have a wonderful library of information about life, the universe, and the afterlife given by people who are now residents of the afterlife. They are anxious to help us understand, and communicate freely, clearly, and inspiringly. The records are in physical medium direct-voice séances. That is the source I use for my understanding of the afterlife; it comes from residents of that territory. You wrote, Exactly how does a spirit body become another physical body? So who are we then? Why is there so much AGAINST this philosophy and how has it become disregarded? You’re assuming that the material realm is the real world and that the greater reality and afterlife are inserted into the real world in some way. The spirit comes into a body. Manifestations come into the material realm. Instead, what those on the next planes of life tell us is that our physical realm is just another plane of the spiritual. In other words, there are millions of realms or planes of life, and our Earth realm is just one of them. And they don’t exist in a place; they simply are. We “vibrate,” as they term it, in resonance with chairs and trees and other people’s bodies. Thus, we are able to interact on this plane. If our vibration were different, we’d be interacting with other people and other scenery. That’s why communication with other planes of life, through mediumship and psychic activity, requires drawing back from this Earth plane and allowing the others to become prominent in our minds. I’m not sure what you mean about there being so much “against” this philosophy. There’s only the archaic views that still hold sway, just as there seemed to be so much against the conception that the Earth is not the center of the universe, but that the Earth revolves around the Sun. Yes, everyone was sure that the Earth was the center of the universe, and yes it was very apparent to anyone with half a brain that the Sun traveled across the sky. But the fact was that people just hadn’t yet realized and accustomed themselves to the truth. That’s what’s happening today with understanding the afterlife. There are volumes of verified data showing the afterlife to be as real as this life, but people just don’t know it. You wrote, Here is but a tiny bit, there is much, much more like this: (it seems that those pushing past lives use the "my spirits are smarter than the others" line...how do they know? Isn't it suspicious that all the "spirits" pushing reincarnation don't seem to know much about it? Why don't they give the exact details as to what, why, when, where and how, instead of vague generalities? I can only speak from the evidence we have from those on the next planes of life that come through direct-voice mediums. There are thousands of these cases, and I must accept what they say over what any individual on the Earth plane reports from channeling someone or having a vision or being conveyed in a dream into the ethereal realms. Those thousands who have spoken through direct-voice mediums are consistent in their reports; they are a sample of thousands, while the visionary’s reports are a sample of one. We just have to stay with the strongest, most consistent evidence. Those who speak through the direct-voice mediums consistently describe incarnations on the Earth plane and on other planes. Ours is not the only or primary plane of existence, even though we tend to believe it’s the only one that matters. We are learning lessons through eternity, and we learn them through a variety of means, including incarnations on the Earth plane, but not exclusively. Your point that those individuals still on the Earth plane who feel they’ve been given lessons about life and reincarnation through visions and supernatural communications just don’t agree is certainly true. They are much like adherents to the 2,600 religions that exist today. You’d think that someone asserting that their religion is the only truth for the universe would realize that since 2,599 other religions disagree, the odds are that they correct are pretty slim. The statements about reincarnation by the visionaries don’t agree; perhaps they’re all just getting pieces of truth, or no truth at all. But we do have very interesting cases, such as Ian Stevenson’s cases and anecdotal evidence from people such as Angela Grubbs and Captain Robert Snow, showing that a person now living on the Earth plane can have remarkable knowledge of someone’s life who has transitioned into the afterlife that is verified. But that evidence doesn’t prove that an individual has lived the life of someone else; just that they know a lot about that person. However, their conviction that they were that person does carry weight. That’s interesting evidence, but I rely on the statements from those who are living in the afterlife now. They speak of incarnations on the Earth plane and other planes. They explain that the incarnations are for us to learn lessons, help individuals, or help humankind. And so I believe them. They are consistent across a wide range of cases, without exception. And, as you say, the others who speak about reincarnation but are still on the Earth plane, have widely divergent views. I can’t trust their statements. Love and peace, Craig
