HAHA you need to think before you post something dumb like this. That message means that the cell number you tried to text is inactive, has a new number, blocked your phone, or has some other problem such as those listed. I'm guessing your passed father is NOT repeating the same VERIZON ERROR MESSAGE from the grave. No offense but i got that same from my Ex-girlfriend today but am not jumping up and down because she "contacted" me. I rationally thought about it and realized its just a Verizon automatic message to tell me that my text from a week ago was blocked. Sorry to burst your bubble, well not really, you seem very dumb and kinda deserved that one if no one in your family could figure it out. (HINT: I bet the RANDOM STRING OF NUMBER is your fathers old phone number. Just a guess. Well not really)
