Yes, your experience was real as we have more aspects of ourselves than just the physical body. Know that your experience was real! If I may, I'd like to elaborate further:

I've had spiritual experiences throughout my life; visions, OBE's, clairaudience, clairvoyance, etc. Then I married my "true love" who had a Near Death Experience (NDE) when he was ten years old. He was told about me during his profound three days in Heaven while his body was in a coma; an OBE! Everything that he was told in Heaven has come true so far. Many witnesses verify his prophetic teachings which are "plain and precious" regarding the identity of God, the Millennium, etc. Three days prior to his NDE his mother had three consecutive identical prophetic dreams which foretold the NDE and that her son had a mission for God. Our mission is to clean up the corruption of the most corrupt religion (it believes in polygamy, masonry (blood oath of secrecy), and altered historical writings of Jesus) and to teach divine truths. This is the foundation of the knowledge that I'll share with you.

We incarnate into this life by separating from our Spirits which remain in Heaven. This is what is meant by the parable of "Cherubim and the Flaming Sword." Thus we forget our past lives in Heaven or on this earth. We have a soul or connection with Heaven (it is possible to lose this connection and to regain it).

Every night we have the capability to reconnect with our Spirit (our main Spirit guide). We do this through OBEs. It is very possible for your grandmother's soul and yours to have met and engaged in a seemingly physical interaction as our Soul is just a more refined state of us as is our Spirit in Heaven.

Everyone has an intelligence and an "I AM" as parts of their beingness. "Heaven" and "Hell" (connected or not connected to God due to self and lack of truth - Yes there is only One God) are here on this earth only in different dimensions.

This is what Jesus meant when He incarnated as a man to this earth when He said "I and my Father are ONE," "When you have seen me you have seen the Father", etc. Jesus' Spirit in Heaven was/IS the Eternal Father in Heaven.

Jesus (Yeshua) as a man on this earth historically was a Rabbi and traditionally all Jewish Rabbis had to be married. (Thank goodness he fulfilled the letter of the laws of men for the spiritual laws).

The wedding feast at Cana was Jesus and Mary of Magdalene's. Mary was Jesus' "Beloved Disciple". She did not hide in fear as the other male apostles during the Crucifixion and thus was present at the Resurrection while the men were in hiding. Divinely preserved: Gospel of Mary, Phillip, Thomas, Nag Hammadi Scriptures, etc. early christian writings ordered to be destroyed due to orthodoxy of uninspired christian leaders in the 4th century to present.

Yeshua was a man AND Divine. For God loves us so much that he incarnated as a man to be an example to us. And thus He was called "the Son of" as an honorary title of His Divinity. Man has omitted and rewritten much of history and the worse is the suppression of women and Yeshua's spiritual teachings...
