Yes, what you're describing is an OBE. People have them more than they realize. It's just that it's such a foreign concept to people that they dismiss it and assign it to something else, like a dream. You had an OBE.

However, it didn't mean you were dying. Those on the other side of life describe the fact that we travel to the afterlife in our sleep and have communication with our loved ones and others there. We just don't remember them. But sometimes we do catch glimpses. You happened to remember what you glimpsed.

The "tunnel" doesn't literally mean we go through a tunnel. That's the way our minds interpret the sensation. So the sensation of traveling OBE to the afterlife can have that same sensation, but it doesn't mean death. It's just part of the OBE. The bright light is also just part of an OBE.

You and everyone else have these experiences often, but we just don't remember them. They're not a sign of death and not an unusual event. It's just that you remembered this one. Enjoy it when you do experience them, and know that we are in charge of what happens to us.
