I used to talk with the Christian Fundamentalists about the Bible to show them that there is nothing against speaking with deceased loved ones in it, but I've stopped doing that.

The books that have been pulled together into the Jewish and Christian canon aren't God's word. They were written by ordinary people. Read Bart Ehrmann's Jesus Interrupted. They are just the thoughts of people that reflect their personal stands and times.
