Thanks. What books do you recommend? Both for the teachings of Jesus, and some more modern people who have insight to God.

I'm over being worried about that guy, I think. On his site, the guy tells that not too long ago, he fell and hit his head hard enough that his brain was bleeding, and he was knocked unconscious. His family called 911 and he was taken to the hospital and rushed into surgery. He survived, but wrote on his site that he had no desire to have his life saved, and had he been awake, he would have rather died so he could "be with god", and not be annihilated himself. ...Let that sink in for a moment.

Any "god" that wants his people to go though life, hating themselves, their bodies, their earthly lives, and promises to annihilate them if they don't, can't not be, and is not, the true God. Thankfully, a being like that does not exist. I mean, that almost sounds exactly like the Heaven's Gate cult. (That guy on his site tries to synchronize evolution, and even aliens with Jesus teachings. 0_0) I'm not saying evolution isn't true, I believe it is, but there was also a creator that started it all. But I don't think Jesus believed in ether of those things.
