I thought I had answered your post, but got on today and don’t see the answer. Sorry it’s taken a few days.

You won’t see many books about the Higher Power or Source. You’ll see hundreds about “God,” but that’s the Judeo-Christian old white guy with a long beard in the sky. But you’ll hear people like Wayne Dyer refer to the Higher Power. Our society simply has little understanding of the Higher Power and our place in the universe.

To learn about the mythological Jesus and the real Yeshua bar Yosef, start with understanding the source of our knowledge about him. Read Bart Ehrman’s book, Jesus Interrupted, about the Bible.

For an understanding of the teachings of the historical Yeshua bar Yosef, read anything by Robert Funk and the Jesus seminar. Another good book is The Sage from Galilee by David Flusser.
