Hi Craig,In your response to Carlos comment about animals suffering, you say that in the next life, animals who are loved are there for us and that animals themselves have no consciousness.
What about animals who are not loved by anyone? For instance, a dog who is very loving but is unwanted and abused by a human? What about that? Does it just cease to exist because it was not loved by a human?
I find it hard to believe that humans are that superior spiritually to an innocent animal capable of feelings and love. That is one of my gripes with the typical Christian answer that only humans have souls. I just can't and won't believe that. Your take please.
